Soyinka, three others make world poetry anthology

Lagos –  Poems by Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka and three other Nigerians  have been selected for the soon to be published world poetry anthology titled The Second Genesis: An Anthology of Contemporary World Poetry, according to Premium Times.

Apart from  Soyinka, Uzor Maxim Uzoatu, Obari Gomba and Ikeogu Oke are the other poets on the anthology menu.

Wole Soyinka and Obari Gomba will  each be contributing one poem, while Soyinka will be adding his A Vision of Peace to the body of poetry, Gomba’s The Ghost of a Country wil alsol be added to  the anthology.

Uzor Maxim Uzoatu’s  Bonding, Tropical Lore and Regenerating Lines will be used.

 While Ikeogu Oke has the lion’s share of poems from the Nigerian contingent, which includes  Being Black,    A ‘Savage’ Writes Back, The Tree and A Gandhian Prayer.

The anthology is a project features poets from 58 countries from across the seven continents.
