Abuja - Akeni Prosper, Chairman, Abuja Chapter of the Society of Nigerian Artists, has appealed to the Federal Government to intensify efforts toward the release of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
Prosper made the appeal during interview in Abuja on Friday.
He said the kidnap of the girls by Boko Haram sect was unacceptable, adding that they must be released unconditionally as they did not commit any crime.
"We cannot be asking for terrorists to bring back our girls as if they were taken on holiday; they have been imprisoned from their normal lives and they are taken into captivity.’’
"We are talking about life; we are not talking about properties; we are talking about living people and most especially, girls" he said.
