Winners emerge at 2015 IDO dance battle

Lagos - Winners have emerged after a thrilling contest at the fifth edition of the annual International Dance Organization (IDO) Street Dance Battle and Salsa Showdance.

The competition held at The Oceanview, Eko hotels and suites in Lagos on Thursday saw different dance groups compete in two categories – salsa and hip hop.

Korede Oyerogba and Nneka Obiora won the salsa category after a keenly contested battle in stages. In the hip hop category, F.F.D Reloaded were the final winner after going into tough contest with other nine groups.

A cheque of N500 000 (five hundred thousand naira) was presented to the hip hop winner by President, International Dance Organization Nigeria, Ice Nweke and Product Manager, Access Bank Plc, Tosin Adeyemi.

The large number of fans in attendance could not hold their joy as they shouted and cheered their favourite dance group, expressing their support.

The event was organized by the Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) and Mountain Dew.
