Wizkid denies being arrested in Kenya

Lagos -  Singer and Starboy CEO Wizkid has denied reports that he was arrested in Kenya over the weekend for smoking indian hemp in a non-smoking hotel, reports Pulse.ng

Wizkid through his manager Seun Johnson  said that it was just a rumour and that nothing happened.

He also said that he knew because he was with Wizkid, and added that his flight  from Kenya back to Lagos was delayed which prompted the reports of his arrest.

Wizkid was reportedly arrested in Kenya on a Kenyan based website.

The site said that the pop singer was arrested for smoking illegal substances in a non-smoking hotel.

Wizkid was said to have  wrapped up the shooting of  a music video with Chocolate City  artist  Victoria Kimani, Del B and Patrick Elis, and was lodged in the Nairobi Crown Plaza Hotel.

The 'Joy' singer who was travelling back to Lagos from Kenya for the Hennessey Artistry Club Tour 2014 was alleged to have been arrested while checking out of his hotel room.

Victoria Kimani is said to have come to his rescue after paying  a fine of Sh 50 000 ($560).
