Lagos - After hosting two editions of MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA), Nigeria may not hold the awards for a while, reports Information Nigeria
Speaking in Lagos, on Friday July 3, senior Vice President and Managing Director Viacom, Alex Okosi said that the organizers have a partnership with Durban, South Africa but will still like to take it to other African countries.
The first ever event held at the Velodrome in Abuja in 2008, second edition held in Kenya in 2009 while the prestigious awards returned to Nigeria in 2010 for its third edition which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites.
After a three year hiatus, MAMA returned last year and was held in KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa where the event is again holding this year.
