Lagos -South African rapper Casper Nyovest will donate proceeds from his concert in Zimbabwe to survivors of the xenophobic attacks in his country.
The xenophobia attacks were aimed mainly at African immigrants from Nigeria, Somali, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia.
The attacks started on April 14 by citizens complaining that the foreigners were depriving them of certain opportunities.
He confirmed via his Twitter account today, April 16, 2015, that his show is still on for Saturday, April 25, 2015, and that he will donate all proceedings to the victims of the attacks.
“ Actually I want to donate all my proceedings for my show in Zimbabwe next week to Xenophobia Survivors. I will come perform for free.” He tweeted.
