You probably shouldn’t watch this trailer at work but we know you’re going to anyway

15 August 2014, 12:51

Los Angeles -  Let’s just get this straight from the get go the Wetlands trailer is like no other trailer you’ve even seen before. It’s vulgar and crass and the main protagonist pokes her fingers in places in her body that is NSFW.

German sex comedy Wetlands premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this year to positive review.

Based on the hugely successful novel of the same title by Charlotte Roche, the story follows Helen (Carla Juri) a risqué 18 year old who recovers in hospital after giving herself an anal lesion in a shaving incident. The opening lines in the trailer; “Meet Helen an unusual girl with unusual tastes” gives you somewhat of a warning of what’s to follow. A string of scenes of filthy public toilets, dirt and blood follow.

But not everything is gross as the trailer showcases bits of a tender love story that develops.

Watch the exclusive trailer from Vulture here if you dare!

Here's the poster!
