Abraham Attah wins Black Film Critics Circle Award

Lagos  - Young rising Ghanaian actor, Abraham Attah,  has been awarded the ‘Rising Star Award’, from the ‘Black Film Critics Circle’ for his role in the movie, ‘Beasts of No Nation’, reports Nigerian Entertainment Today(NET)

The award labelled Attah’s role as ‘one of the strongest and most phenomenal they have ever seen’ and added that he has ‘a very bright future ahead of him’.

Attah, who is said to be without any acting background, was picked from the streets of Ghana during the shooting of Netflix’s movie ‘Beasts of No Nation.’

The 14 year-old won the  Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival earlier in the year.
