Anti-bleaching film set to premiere in Ghana

Lagos - Ghanaian filmmaker and actor , Van Vicker has announced that the 2014 movie "Skinned" is set to premiere in June.

According to Vicker, the premiere will hold on June 10, 2016 at the Silverbird Cinemas Accra, Ghana.

Directed by "Single Ladies" Star actress Lisaraye McCoy and co-directed by Avery Williams, "Skinned" features Jasmine Burke, Brad James, Van Vicker, Cycerli Ash and Lisaraye McCoy.

The anti-bleaching movie tells the story of a young woman called Jolie, who bleaches her dark skin  to feel more beautiful and accepted.

The movie is aimed at creating awareness of the side effects of bleaching, including death. It is also aimed at preaching self love and acceptance.

In 2014, "Skinned"  launched a "No Bleach! Love The Skin You're In" campaign, aimed at creating awareness and making global impact.
