Lagos - The Royal Arts Academy and Nollywood Workshop production ‘Code of Silence' is set to screen at Goteburg Film Festival in Sweden on February 4, 2016.
The news was shared by Bola Aduwo, who wrote and co-produced the movie.
The movie revolves around a young girl, Adanma, who was gang-raped by a prominent politician and his aide on her way back from school.
Adanma’s family, being of humble origins, are afraid to report the matter to the relevant authorities. Citing the excuse that rape is considered a taboo in society and it will make her undesirable for marriage.
Starring Ini Edo, Patience Ozorkwor, Desmond Elliot, Omoni Oboli, Kofi Adjorlolo, Amaechi Muonagor, Shawn Faqua, Makida Moka, ‘Code of Silence’ was produced and directed by Emem Isong.
