John Boyega, Lupita Nyong’o gets nominated for 2016 MTV Movie Awards

Lagos - The record-breaking movie Star Wars leads this year’s nomination list of the MTV Movie Awards with 11 nominations.

The film has British-Nigerian actor John Boyega  nominated in the “Breakthrough Awards  Category, and Actress Lupita Nyong’o was nominated for “Best Virtual Performance”

The Star Wars film was also nominated for the “Movie of The Year” and “Ensemble Cast “ Categories.

“Straight Outta Compton” received nominations for “Movie of the Year” and “True Story” with its star actor O’Shea Jackson Jr. nominated for “Breakthrough Performance”.

Other actors like Michael B. Jordan (Creed) Will Smith (Concussion), Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson were also nominated.
