Kano - A workshop to help improve the Hausa genre of Nollywood has been set up in America, reports Daily Trust.
The project tagged Kannywood-meets-Hollywood will take place in Los Angeles, the United States of America annually.
Eight Kannywood stars already left Nigeria for Los Angeles, California for the professional workshop.

They are Ali Nuhu, Hadiza Gabon, Hafizu Bello, Hauwa Maina, Kamal Sani Alkali, Nazifi Asnanic, Bello Mohammed Bello and Hassan Giggs.
They are expected to spend two weeks attending classes at Relativity Film School located at the award-winning LA Center Studios where they would be exposed to active studios sets and modern film making techniques necessary in today's art of film-making.
The workshop was organized to develop a global audience and international acceptance, leverage digital distribution platforms, enhance product quality and identify finance sources.
It would also help in fighting piracy in the industry and ensure collaboration on new distribution models in order to build a more sustainable future for the Nigerian film community.
