Los Angeles - Lamar Odom is reportedly having trouble remembering his own name.
The 36-year-old basketball star has been recovering in hospital in Los Angeles after collapsing in a Nevada brothel following a reported alcohol and drugs binge in October but sources close to him have claimed that his progress is extremely slow.
An insider told Entertainment Tonight: "He's not doing great. His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people's names - sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss."
Lamar is being supported by his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian - who put their divorce on hold in order to continue making medical decisions for him - and her family.
The source added: "They all pop in to see him in hospital, including Khloe."
Meanwhile, there was some good news for Lamar recently when it was revealed that he is set to move to a rehab facility closer to his 31-year-old Khloe's home.
A source told UsWeekly magazine: ''He actually gets a little better every day. He talks a bit more each day and walks with a walker, but still has trouble processing his thoughts. It's very slow but little by little."
However, Khloe has insisted that Lamar still has a long way to go but is confident he'll get there with time and the right care.
She said previously: "His kidneys are recovered and all of his organs are pretty much recovered. It's more his brain is still affected and physically he has to learn how to walk again and he is learning how to feed himself again.
"All those normal things we take for granted every day and it's a really long road and it's going to take a long time."
