15 July 2016, 20:00

Lagos - The official re-launch edition of Wax Lyrical’ takes  place on July 18, at Fuze Sport Bar - 46, Saka Tinubu, Victoria Island, Lagos and will be headlined by Africa’s top rap group; Show Dem Camp.

Loose Kaynon made the  announcement of the return of the Lagos freestyle event, Wax Lyrical.

Hosted by the Chocolate City rapper, Wax Lyrical which is a Hip-hop centric freestyle event on the Nigerian Hip-Hop scene and a platform aimed at celebrating and promoting Hip Hop through a hybrid of local and pop- culture, has been on hiatus since 2013.

But it is set for a relaunch which will feature unrehearsed rap battles from amateur, established or veteran word smiths, over popular hip-hop beats, in front of an unbiased and unforgiving crowd of hip-hop enthusiasts.

A few of the artistes who have gone on to become formidable rap forces were once amateurs on the Wax Lyrical floor; Phenom, Lil Kesh, Base One and Olamide have all participated in the show.

Yeah u read it right!!! #BigAnnouncementAlert #waxLyrical
