Lagos – Tv host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu believes that the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) has lost its relevance.
In a recent Tweet he said that the argument of National unity for retaining the NYSC scheme had failed, as Nigeria isstill cut across religious and tribal lines.

“'National unity' as an argument for retaining the NYSC, is funny. The scheme is now 43 years old. We've gotten more united since? Okay.” He tweeted.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was initiated in 1973 to facilitate national integration and bridge cultural and ethnic gaps in a heterogeneous country like Nigeria.
