Lagos - Performance artist Jelili who was allegedly arrested on the orders of a traditional ruler in Ejigbo , along with others who took park in a public performance piece have regained their freedom, reports Nigerian Entertainment Today(NET)
A Magistrate’s Court in Ejigbo, Lagos State has ordered the release of performance artist, Jelili Atiku and others, who were arrested in January 2016.

The ruler, Kabiyesi Oba Morufu Adekunle Ojoola, the traditional ruler of the community and complainant, was alleged to have been displeased that Jelili’s performance piece took place in his domain without his permission.
After deliberations in the court’s chambers, the Magistrate J.O Adeyemi announced that both contending parties and reached an amicable agreement.
