Lagos - Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, lend her support for the Gender Equality Bill, by joining her female compatriots in a peaceful protest, reports Pulse.ng
An information was passed around on Facebook for people who are interested in joining the protest in order to speak out against the rejection of the bill by the Nigeria Senate.
The event was put together by Laila Saint Matthews, the leader of the advocacy group, 'Acts Generation', an organisation that offers support to victims of domestic violence.
The short-lived Gender Equality Bill has been a subject of widespread protest in the country, especially among women's rights group, who are particularly affected.
