The lady has been identified as Ifeoma Nelly, an Industrial Chemistry undergraduate at the Delta State University, Abraka.

The lady who has been impersonating Wizkid online  was apprehended when trying to meet with an Australian, who she expected was going to pay her a sum of $25,000, as part payment for the singer's performance.

This however turned out to be a trap, as it was from this meeting that the suspect was arrested.

According to Wizkid's manager,  Sunday Are, Nelly confessed to have received cash paid in foreign currency for Wizkid's supposed concert performance.

Wizkid became the subject of concert boycott, when a show promoting agency located in London, accused the singer of evading a concert he had been paid to perform.

The singer was said to have reported the issue to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who subsequently found the culprit.
