Wale sued after collecting N11 million to perform

Lagos - The New York edition One Africa Music Fest that held in August without Nigerian-American rapper Wale who was one of the headliners.

He  was paid $25 000 to come perform but he did not show up, and has been sued by the show’s organizers.

Wale was sued by Paul O and his company UPMG after collecting $25 000 (N11 Million) and not showing up at a show.

According to international site TMZ, there is a signed contract between Wale’s camp and the company, plus 2 wire transfers for $12.5k a piece. They claim after Wale did not appear on the show, he went silent on them when asked to return the money. 

When asked about the allegations, Wale’s current representative stated that the rapper’s ex-manager booked the show, and took the money for it. 

The rep says Wale never saw a dime and the ex-manager never returned the cash.
