26 September 2016, 12:31

Lagos - Udoka Oyeka has released his latest short film on the Boko Haram crisis in Northern Nigeria.

Norbert Young, Waje among others, star in Udoka Oyeka's film on Boko Haram titled “No Good Turn.”

The film which stars Udoka Oyeka playing the lead role alongside Norbert Young, Sani Muazu and Waje, seeks to create awareness while depicting the humanitarian and terrorism crisis that residents face in Northern Nigeria due to the Boko Haram insurgency.

Produced by  Bolanle Austen-Peters, "No Good Turn" tells the story of the immediate aftermath of a Boko Haram terrorist attack and is set in an overcrowded Emergency Room of the town’s deteriorating hospital.

The doctor, Dr. Gbenga, on duty has his hands full especially when one of the suspected terrorists is brought into the hospital.  Dr. Gbenga must fight to keep everyone’s values in check, including his own.

The film was selected and screened at the 2016 European Independent Film Festival, 2016 Cannes Film Festival in the Short Corner and the Durban International Film Festival.

Udoka Oyeka, who directed the award-winning movie "Living Funeral," directs and leads a cast for the first time in "No Good Turn."
