3 nice things your girlfriend hates

29 September 2014, 10:15

Abuja – Ever heard the phrase nice guys finish last? That doesn’t just mean that nice kid with the webbed toes coming last at the 100m dash at school.

According to Men’s Health some nice things you do for your partner could also get you left behind in love.

Buying her bling

Most guys are sure most women love jewellery. They might be right, but sometimes they don’t consider that women are very particular when it comes to their taste in jewellery.

So listen closely when she says “I DON’T love silver,” because that one vital detail could make your thoughtful gift come across as if you don’t consider her tastes even if you do.

Alternatively, you could blame it on hearing loss or a bad Skype connection.

Checking up on her

It would be safe to say most women wouldn’t hate you for making sure she is safe, but constantly checking up on her will definitely drive her up the walls and out of your door.

Sure, wait until she’s inside before you drive off, but don’t go sending her texts like “are you off the toilet yet?”

Mr. Fix-it

Fixing her leaking tub or formatting her hard drive might be a nice thing for you to do, but don’t go handling too much of her emotional baggage. She doesn’t need you or want you to come up with solutions for those problems. Just listen to her and give input when she asks for it. Fill in, don’t order.
