3 tips to save a sexless marriage

Abuja - If your marriage is stagnating and becoming a passionless companionship bordering on roommate status, consider these tips from Dr. Phyllis Goldberg at Huffington Post.

1.    Get a medical check-up

See a doctor to determine whether there might be medical reasons for the difference in sex drive between you and your partner. Help can also be sought for impotence and other chronic illnesses that contribute to a lower sex drive.

2.    It’s not all about you

Consider the needs of your partner. Withholding sex is often a weapon used in the power struggle for control in a relationship and it can lead to a serious breakdown. Keep the lines of communication open and make your partner feel comfortable speaking about their sexual needs.

3.    Men are from Mars…

Always keep in mind that men and women are wired completely differently. We can plainly see the differences in problem solving and communication, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that we think differently about sex. Men often feel closest to their partners when making love, while women need to feel intimacy before opening up emotionally.
