8 websites that’ll calm you down in an instant

30 October 2015, 13:12Carmen Williams

Neon flames
Love to play with colour, but can’t draw to save your life? Or maybe you just want to make something pretty. This site has a rather calming effect and provides a great distraction for an overworked brain.

If you need to drown out the noise, but don’t want to do so using music, then try this site. Listen to white, pink or brown noise at different volumes. It’s rather soothing.

Even if you’re not a dog person, you simply can’t resist these adorable munchkins. Just stare and giggle at random gifs of dogs (and sometimes cats) and feel your worries slowly start to fade away.

Calming manatee
In case you forget how awesome you are, this manatee is here to remind you. Compliments coupled with adorable pictures? Yes, please.

A guided meditation site which provides a beautiful nature scene and a chance to meditate for up to 20 minutes. Great for a lunch break escape. It really works, especially if you’re a meditation newbie.

The Quiet Place
Clear your mind, relax, stop checking your email and relax. Take a little break and get a pep talk too. It’s great to unplug, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

There are lots of different sounds we all find relaxing, but what if we want to listen to more than one at a time? This site enables you to make a relaxation playlist of sorts with various sounds at different volumes.

The Thoughts Room
Need a place to vent on a social media site your boss don’t have access to? Or somewhere to say those things that you just can’t say out loud? This is for you.
