Tennessee – Lu Ann Ballew, a Tennessee Child Support Magistrate has ruled that a baby named Messiah’s name be changed, News reports.
The parents were originally in court because they had not decided on the name for the seven-month-old, but once the judge heard the name she order them to change it.
The baby is now called Martin DeShawn McCullough, and the mother, Jaleesa Martin has said she will appeal as Messiah is a unique name.
Ballew commented that this was in the child’s best interest and the title Messiah has only been earned by one person “and that person is Jesus Christ.”
