Video: Naked Pastor hits back!

27 January 2015, 08:51

Abuja - A video allegedly showing a popular South African pastor naked sent social media into a frenzy late last week.

Sithembiso Zondo, a pastor best known for his motivational talks on South African radio station Ukhozi FM, caused a stir across social media when a video surfaced of him walking around naked in his living room. The clip is alleged to have been shot, in secret, by the man's mistress.

According to a report by News24 Nigeria's sister publication Channel24, the disgraced pastor responded to the news unexpectedly, urging his followers to not delete the video but instead look to it for inspiration when going through tough times.

Zondo also made an impassioned apology to both the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the pastoral fraternity.

The SABC has, however, sacked the pastor from his Tuesday morning time slot on Ukhozi FM.

In a media statement released through City Press yesterday, officials at the SABC said that due to the negative impact of the scandal, a decision was taken to remove Zondo from the station.
