Abuja - A 23-year-old British woman who had spent her teenage years obsessively waxing her facial hair has bravely helped to redefine our notions of beauty.
Harnaam Kaur from Slough, who suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome, felt so embarrassed by her facial hair in her teenage years that she started self-harming and even considered suicide, Buzzfeed reports.
After being baptised as a Sikh, however, she turned a corner and has accepted her body and has chosen to express that she is beautiful no matter what she is told.
Her religion dictates the acceptance of the body as is and to let hair grow naturally.
