Abuja - The world’s oldest cat, Poppy, has died at the tender age of 24 mere weeks after she clinched the title and landed in record books.
Poppy lived with her human feeder, Jacqui West, in Bournemouth, Dorset in the United Kingdom, Huffington Post reports.
Jacqui said even though Poppy was very old, it was still upsetting to lose her.
She said she had a rough last week as she was on antibiotics and her hind legs finally gave up on her.
The oldest cat ever on record was Crème Puff. The veteran from Austin, Texas lived to be 38.
