Don’t move into your boyfriend’s house or girlfriend’s for that matter

06 September 2016, 11:37Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - Unless you are married, stay in your house. Don’t trust anybody. But that is just my opinion.

Also, it does not matter if you are married because we have seen the husband chase the wife out because they are arguing.

You always have to have a plan B even though they are the love of your life. The love of your life has mood swings. It can be misconstrued to be mistrust but it is just you looking out for yourself.

Just imagine when you move to your spouse’s or partner’s house.

Argument: Get out of my house!

Misunderstanding:  Leave my house!

‘You cannot do anything for yourself that is why you are leeching off me at my house.’

‘Your people are always here eating all the food. That is not what I had in mind. You are becoming more costly.’

You: (Busy looking for where to go at 1pm when your partner chases you out of their house)

Just wait until you are married so that they can go lock themselves in a room but in relationships? Those are so shaky you never know when someone will fall out of love with you and in love with someone else.

‘Can you move out by next week? My new girlfriend does not like the idea of me sharing a house with my ex.’

Always have a plan- that is the point. Have some money stashed away when they decide they no longer like your company, you do not have to go around begging or being hopeless. Never overspend when you are in a relationship because you are feeling secure. Your partner will surprise you one of these days with an eviction notice; which is why I do not trust men when they tell me to move anywhere with them. I will just stay all by myself because I do not want to be in the streets when I am no longer girlfriend material.
