This season’s trends are all about elongating your legs and nipping your waist. This is great news, especially for those of you who have short legs.
Here are my top 3 fashionable styles that will make your legs appear longer than they are:
Trend 1: High-waisted. This is all the rage this season and it’s really easy to wear. Look out for waistbands that sit on or just above your belly button. If you have a flattish tummy, then tuck your tops into your waistband. If not, wear fitted, tops that end just below (not too long) the waistband for a bit more tummy coverage. Either way, wearing a high-waisted style will create the illusion that your legs are longer than they are.
Trend 2: Flared trousers and jeans. The '70s flared trouser is back. Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean that you have to wear a dramatic bell bottom style, but even just a bit of flare will give you the long elongation you are after. Even more elongating is a high-waisted pair of flared trousers. Add a heeled shoe underneath, making sure that the flare covers most of the shoe.
Trend 3: Nude shoes. Wearing a nude shoe creates the illusion that the shoe is an extension of your leg, making them appear longer. Even if you are wearing nude flat shoes, it will still work to elongate your look. You can wear a nude shoe with any style and any colour.
Find the perfect nude shade to suit your complexion. This season, you will have plenty to choose from.
