Helping you find the type of man you want

27 October 2016, 13:37Shakila Alivitsa

Abuja - To put it simply, you can’t go looking for fish in a meat market; you have to go to a fish market.

If you want a religious man, you go to church. Though that can backfire because some people are pretenders. Also, there are people with different faces for every occasion. Find him in church, deacon. Just wait until you find him in the village he was born-surprise! So you have to be careful with this one.

First know what you actually want

You think you know, I know you think you know because you have just gone through that list you stash at the back of your mind at that statement. Anyway, figure out the things you need and the things you can do without, then we move from there.

Location matters

You cannot be an extrovert, with extrovert tendencies, expecting a willing partner in crime and then go for an introvert to frustrate both you and them. How does location come in here? You find your fellow extroverts at functions- not work functions but let’s say, festivals, camping trips and such. You choose a person you normally meet with at home and then make demands when you know that is not there style, you will end up breaking up or getting angry every time they cannot do and without a reason.

Is it long-term or short-term you are looking for

Don’t choose to chase/ go after a man who looks like he will be enjoying bachelorhood until he is forty, man can reproduce even at 60. Then you get confused when he tells you, ‘I don’t want anything for now, yet you two have been ‘seeing’ each other. It does not work like that, choose accordingly.

Want fun? Then choose that guy and focus on you. You want to settle down, leave that one alone as you are wasting your time when you could actually be with the one that you need to be with.

You have to look the part

When a woman is talking about wanting a sophisticated man, please you might be the reason you attract that type you are wondering about. You cannot have ratchet weave and lipstick that does not match your tone and talk about sophisticated men. Sophisticated men can tell their type from a mile away. So, you might have to change that walk and posture…and the weave as well!
