Is he ready to be your boyfriend?

19 October 2016, 10:34Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - Just like women, men also have their own set of issues.

As much as they would like to think they are amazing beings we all clamour for. At times as a woman, you are enjoying yourself being single so much then you tell yourself how you want a man for yourself, then when you remember the reasons you are not in a relationship, it is because of your last interaction with someone of the male variety.

Then you are like, ‘Oh well…., til next time.’

Is the man you are dating ready to be your man or is he still suffering from bachelor syndrome? Don’t stress yourself with someone who is still not ready to give up some things he holds sacred. You will get heartburn for no reason.

He struggles with exclusivity

If you are not secure when he is simply texting someone and you have to wonder how many other woman he is still entertaining, you should really ask yourself whether you are ready to deal with that throughout the relationship.

If he has to wonder what else can be offered to him and you are not enough, that is because he is showing you, you are not enough.

He cannot spend some time with you comfortably

He checks his phone to see what he is missing constantly, like yes, we all wonder what we are missing. But just once in a while a man who is seriously wanting to be in a relationship with you, should not make you feel like you are poor company. At least. The man should act like he is enjoying himself when he is solely with you.

If you are chasing and have to beg for dates, you will not even have date nights once you crucify yourself for this relationship.

He is super secretive

Everyone is allowed their secrets but some people, take it to the next level. Someone who struggles to hide anything and everything from you; might even be hiding two other relationships and a marriage.

He never offers

Offers to take you out, offer to come over, over to take you for dinner, offer to invite you to anything- he just does not offer you anything at all. Are you sure this is the man you want to call a boyfriend?

He suffers from fuckboyism

All women know these characteristics- given the run around, too many women in his loop, not sure of what he wants, blames you for any issues…fuckboyism. Symptoms women choose to ignore, thinking they will change the man only to be disappointed.
