Now, for the first time in Nigeria's 16 years of uninterrupted democratic rule, an elected official refuses to abide by his party's obsolete and archaïque 'anointed' person's appointment; there are so much views, sides and comments erupting in a very provocative 'holabalu'.

Like the much unnecessary noise is not enough, the APC and even the Presidency are asserting that both house leaders should apologize. I beg to ask, "For what?" I see a Senate President and his colleague in the lower house who do not want to be forced or run by the 'big bad eggs' in the party, into making such silly appointments. I see a new air of democracy coming from the top.
