Achieving through difficult circumstances

10 September 2014, 11:19 Jibunor George Chuks

We are all in a world of our own. Everyone to himself or herself, what we eat, wear, feel and experience is all what matters to us. No wonder you will find in a family where the first person to be rich shows superiority over the other siblings with low income. Always want to maintain that standard so that everyone could call him or her the boss.

The full responsibility of the up-bringing of a child is that of the parents. With no regards to that should we overlook that most at times tragedies do occurs and the child's up-bringing could be jeopardize. Many children from the moment of the tragic incident enters into the state of disorder. The same moment becomes a moment of spirit lifted high for many children who believes that they can achieve it with or without anyone.

Let me share one encouraging true life story. A guy who never know who his father is but only his mother. At the age of 10 years he lost the mother after a brief illness. He was later moved to Lagos by her late mother's brother who promised to train him in the university. On the day he was about to write his Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB) he lost the uncle and the fiance on a tragic motor accident along Lagos Ibadan express way. The hope of university, was immediately shattered by circumstances of life. After the death of the uncle, he was evicted out from the house. He later managed to get one room apartment where he engage's in some small business and work's in a factory that produces plastic.

With the little earnings, he entered into polytechnic as a part-time student. Currently he is in HND1, studying chemical engineering. This is so beautiful from the spirit lifted high that the young guy have exhibited. He found himself in the jungle where he stands alone. Wild animals of the jungle, he matched upon them and the roughness of the jungle was never a trait to him. How many young youths in this country are still sitting idol and waiting for manner to fall from Heaven!  Why not tap from this life touching story and prove that you can survive in any type of jungle you find yourself. Push hard, you will definitely get there. God bless you.
