Deceitful Nation

28 April 2014, 07:42 Jibunor George Chuks

How can we say that we are one and yet things are going from bad to worse?  No one is showing any concern because it doesn't affect him or her. Many are dying day by day in the country and the government thinks that by wearing suits, agbada and caftans and sitting in their higher chambers saying; say Nay or I and when the majority number of fat sited colleagues is Nay; next you could hear is the Nay's have it. Oh God what a country.

The only thing most of them is after is on how to fill their bank accounts with pounds, dollars and euro's, for them naira is a lesser value. Election is drawing near and all the attentions is on next year; when you have not sorted out properly for the very day that you have with you. What a government, people are going hunger presently and you are planning for them for the future. What future? Does a dead man have a future? No, death is now a normal thing.

Check the headlines of the news, the top news is; bomb blast kills so so so, what interest's people is to see the number of casualties if it is over hundred(100) and they could say “God help us”. But what happens when the figure is few like twenty(20), then the comment could be; “thank God they are not many”.

Death is death, whether many or not. What a country we are living in! Look at the innocent souls of the students that was going to write Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) and these students was slaughtered in cold blood. JAMB and all it members, security personals and government should be held accountable for the innocent souls of those students. What have they done? This is bizarre. State of emergence declared has blessed the pockets of many; both the once at duty and the once that sent them on the duty. How many government officials has these evil perpetrators attacked, not much at all compared to those of poor masses and the average Nigerian.

I don't pray for the death of anyone but if sacrifices must be done, don't we think the sacrifice must come from those cabals in all sectors across the country? For how long will the government act as if everything is fine or is going to be fine when nothing at all is been done to stop these acts. Rich politicians are the ones sponsoring these murders. I can assure that no matter anything you do or have done; if you don't pay in this world, be rest assured you will pay on the judgment day, don't be surprised. We are in a deceitful country, where those leading us have used us as sacrifice but has refused to be used for the same purpose. God deliver your poor children in this country.
