Fine China

26 November 2013, 17:02 Martin Beck Nworah

A country with more than One billion people and a GDP of above 12 trillion dollars (2012 quoted),it can only get finer.

The Chinese and their technology have been saving lives in this country and even though we coin silly names for their products; it’s sure a life saver. Be you rich or poor, you can't count five appliances in your home without picking up a Chinese product (either in part or whole).

That is the type of impact this Asian country has had on the entire world. They're here to stay and I can only advice youths to learn their language and culture. It will most certainly broaden your horizon and give you more chances of inking a better job after school. Has anyone ever told you a story of how he got his dream job by just speaking the language of his foreign HR? I have about ten of such stories.

In as much as we study our basic courses while on campus, it is not out of place to equip ourselves with an extra language or skill. The world hates ordinary people these days and if the only thing you can offer is your certificate, then there is a serious problem brewing up for you.

China has enormous potentials that can be harnessed by Nigerians if we get the right training. We mustn't depend on government or blame government for everything that happens in this nation. You can work hard, use your own millions and build a world class film village right behind your grandfather's farmland. When people realize you have it and its worth it, they’ll come for it.

If we must succeed, we must learn to work for what we want and not wait for anybody to place it on our tables. Fine China is the dream; can you make it your reality? Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you'll pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
