I owe her (Nigeria) my life

02 November 2015, 09:54 Timileyin Gabriel Olajuwon

Steal not again, her royal honour

And bring to her not, bloody horror;

Yesterday: you came and stole away

Like gentle men on the highway

Today again:just like snipers in broad-day

You steal, kill and destroy as devil per se

Kill not again, in furious anger

And deprive not, her kingship pride.

For like the wind:

You blew dust into her naked eyes

Again and again, you bury "shots" into her open hearts

Yet; you know, in pain there lies no worthy price.

Destroy not, her fruitful land

And recolour not, the fertile soil-sand;

Last night!

Green was turned red

One half source of her daily bread.

This morn, white becomes darkly black

Green White

Green metamorphosed into Red Black Red.

And how can rich-in-rich suffers lack?

When will the madness stop?

She is a child of destiny

Enough is enough!

Let this madness now end

And let peace trend.

kill me, let me die

Rather than "She" to die

Let me die to live

Rather than un-sin souls to live to die

Go soul!

On errand of no return

Fight for her glory's return

She is your pride of existence.

For If she dies,

How can destiny be fulfilled? ................................. "

I Pledge to Nigeria my Country

To be faithful loyal and honest

To serve Nigeria with all my strength

To defend Her unity

And uphold Her honour and glory

So help me God
