Jambite Protest

On the 2nd of march 2015, there was a staged protest by student seeking to write their JAMB exams at the JAMB zonal office in Makurdi Benue state, where student where told to report on the date above to reprint their JAMB e-slip to know there exams date and time including there exams centres.

The officials present at the office told the student to go and return on Wednesday 4th of march 2015,but the student were unwell to do so due to the facts that they were told to go and come back on several occasions and they don't have the assurance that if they return on Wednesday, there JAMB e-slip won't be ready for reprint, that when the argument started at the entrance to the JAMB office premises, so they had to call in the police for there safety but on reaching there, they (police) were mean, rude and arrogant due to the facts that most of them where illiterate and don't know what peaceful protest is all about the student started throwing stones into the premises.

Furthermore, more policemen and SARS security personnel where deploy to the area. On reaching there, they fired a whole lots of tear gas to disperse the growing number of student demonstrating on the main roads, which lead to the arrest of many student.
