Lagos — This week marks the nationwide release of “Beyond Chains,” an absorbing social commentary by author Markanthony Nze.
In “Beyond Chains,” the readers will meet Michael Nnaji — an affable and extremely brilliant young man. He dedicates his entire life to ecclesiastical service. His anointing is a major source of blessing to many who cross his path. But anointing without money is not enough, so his superior in the church, Pastor Kunle Martins, orchestrates a multimillion-dollar deal that requires his information and communication technology expertise. This deal will certainly make him stupendously rich.

However, Nnaji rejects the juicy offer bluntly and upholds the tenet of his faith while Martins goes raving mad. Martins then presents Nnaji with a choice: Accept the crooked, rich proportion he offers or spend his whole life, languishing in gaol. “Beyond Chains” is an absolute exposé of the ills perpetrated in the African society.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Nze is a trained mass communicator and a prolific screenwriter with several screenplays to his credit. He currently lives in Lagos, Nigeria, where he works as a script consultant.
