My Proposal for Life

11 September 2012, 11:49

Dear Nigeria and Nigerians, I want to use this medium, podium and opportunity to make a simple proposal and demand for life. If I cannot get anything else as like other children of other countries or continents, but at least I want to also get a Life. Every child has a right to live and right to Life.My name is Child, a Nigerian, am very young, still hopeful, totally innocent and a very fragile expectant leader of tomorrow, for me, my family, my community and also for my Nation, Nigeria.

I hereby tender this little proposal for life, even though we may not be listened to because we are children. A life for free and good medical care or services before and after our birth. We ask for a life that guarantees a good living condition for my parents as citizens in this Nigeria, as they had me as a gift from God almighty,to keep, be nurtured, be protected and cared for in this country, irrespective of my tribe, location, background and even religion. A life full of possibilities and infrastructural development as I grow up needing good and free education,Government support and enabling environment for learning, development mentally and physically.

Also, I would also propose and appreciate getting a life here where social infrastructures are in place. Good roads, clean accessible water, stable and cheap electricity power that will enable my productivity and learning abilities for my future career and educational pursuits. Not left out is the issue of viable and strong uncompromised political systems that ensures a totally free & fair elections for a democracy, for a true and chosen leadership by the people that is very much needed now in giving the children hope and for unborn generations still on their way to this country.

With these and all other requests, we demand for a life and future that counts and is assured of like the lives of other children of the world. We demand for the appropriate administering of wealth, justice and equity to protect us from child labour, abuse, under education, poverty, marginalization, unrecognized, disowned and child trafficked, that is devastatingly ravishing families and our country as compared to other equally endowed families of other countries too. No more to low standard education, poor classroom structures, victims of killings, Governmental insensitivity, corruption & bribery, injustices and lack of motivation to all our teachers too.

To me as a child, I think there are just too many tribes, cultures, languages and tribalism that we lack a true Nigerian. A Nigerian and a leader that will take responsibilities of the people on his shoulders to give a Nigerian child a spate of hope, brighter future and life on full throttle that leads to our destiny, for our steady growth, new breed and lasting legacy like our heroes past had done, as comparable to every other children of other countries who are not giants of Africa like Nigeria.
