Nakedness and nudity

15 October 2015, 14:10 Jibunor George Chuks

It's good to be back once again on this platform where we share what we affectionately thought and believe that could be of benefit to the society. Read this piece carefully so that you don't misinterpret but just to give us your own personal views on this content. The world is absolutely moving speedily into old epic ways and not only that but equally into the time of Adam and Eve, (The two first husband and wife of mankind).

Although this two words ''Nudity and Nakedness'' as many have opted and given that they are not the same. English dictionary did give their meanings and so it could say that maybe yes or no that they are the same or not. Either same or not the fact still remains that what the two words represents in the eyes and knowledge of the educated and uneducated is nothing else but the same thing. Nakedness as dictionary puts it is ''Not covering of one self, not putting clothes''.

Then for Nudity it says ''naked figure, practice of not wearing clothes''. Now we can even note and see that those that dresses nude are equally same thing as being naked, so we could say that they are not nude or naked because they are just being honest and vulnerable; picture it any which way, they represent only but one factor which is naked. Anyhow the world view it, act of exposing one's secret and private bodies is an act of nakedness.

One of our dear country great musician has this to say; ''Being Naked isn't just about Nudity is also about being Honest, being Vulnerable and being Real'' those are the words of ''our'' musician Darey Alade. The world prefers the way it has been during the time of Sodom and Gomorah. Those words of our musician doesn't have any meaning of justification rather it only represents what he has shown the world that he represents. Time is fast approaching where the need for clothing's will no longer be needed because average number of people living now wants to go on living without wearing or covering their body.

This will affect the world too because little will celebrities patronise those clothing companies or houses. This is the trend at which we humans are driving the world into old epic ways all in the name of being oneself. For one trying to speak his or her mind on how the condition or standard of living has been doesn't mean to go naked/nude on the Internet all because he or she wants his or her voice to be heard. I know Darey has many things to share in his stories and so on but nudity in expressing these things in the country; is that the right way? International female pop singers like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nick Minaj, Miley Cyrus and so on who exposes their bodies and people have often criticised them and not to forget our Nigerian Maheeda. If Mr Darey Alade should not be justified for taking nude pictures and posting it on the Internet all because of his advocacy for truth, I believed those ladies too have their best reasons for exposing whatever they are exposing; let truth be told. Thank you and God bless
