Nigeria in a hectic state due to Ebola

08 August 2014, 12:44 Jibunor George Chuks

Our country is now in a hectic state because of the deadly decease called Ebola Virus. Many calls coming in and out from people's phones, are all about Ebola. A friend of mine told me that his relatives are calling, sending message's on facebook, Whattsapp, Instagram, 2Go, Bbm chat, equally mid-night calls, all for him to use warm water added with salt to use and bath.

Minister of health Prof Onyebuchi; said that the federal government is waiting on the American government for the supply of the experimental non approved drugs for the virus. So shameful to African countries and Nigerians, we solely depend on everything from the US.

The US might now tell us to reverse the law which bans activities of same marriage before they can supply the experimental drugs. The US has been in the country for the search of supposed to be kidnapped Chibok girls, but to nothing is the outcome. We are only having personal problems in this country and personal problems are something you can settle on your own because it is personal not foreign aids. Yet we have many scientist and doctors in Nigeria and Africa but yet no result to proof this.

We have research laboratories that are not functioning, only set-up for embezzlement of funds. Qualified doctors by certificate but not practising when it matters. Don't we eat bush meat before! Don't our forefathers eat bush meat! Where was the Ebola virus? Christians no longer exchange hands greeting in the church anymore because of the panic of Ebola. No hand shake for friends because of Ebola. Kissing could now be very deadly because fluids is been exchanged by this.

Independent country but totally dependent on every thing. We can't do anything by ourselves. Elections, we need foreign help. Poverty, we need foreign help. Insecurity, we need foreign help. Electricity, we need foreign help. Health, we need foreign help. Jobs creation, we need foreign help. Very soon, to go to toilet, we must look for foreign help. Where are we going, we are just like little babies? God help this continent called Africa and our country called Nigeria.
