Smiling and suffering

17 December 2013, 16:54 Jibunor George Chuks

Those put in positions to handle the mantle of leaderships in Africa has not really done much for this great land called Africa. What is leadership all about in Africa! To some countries in Africa its like a west african examination councils(WAEC) certificate.

That once you have achieved it, its yours till death do you part. We have were people, just one person have ruled a country for over more than 30years. For what? You want to tell me that the country is like Sodom and Gomoral in the bible, were no one was found worthy of been saved. So in these countries, no other persons could handle leadership except them? This is bizarre. You ask? If one tenure(4,5 or 6years) could not be enough for someone to do what 55% of his/her followers could see, believe and appreciate, remaining 45% let's not consider them.

Then, is it (8,16,30years etc) can now be enough? Heaven no, its not true. In our country Nigeria, people rule only achieving 5% of the country or state's goals and yet they wallow around the medias criticizing those in replacement of their post. So many leaders have embezzled the resource of this country. We do not have a well functional refineries in the country and yet some leaders have that in the neighboring countries, bizarre. Some leaders partners with their friends to handle contracts so that at the end they could get commission.

They build some mini companies with the country's resources yet they offer us little jobs as if they are doing us favors(is like collecting or stealing your money and using it to pay you at the end) big favor indeed . Banks, defrauded by their managing directors, yet, little do we hear about their punishments. People steals billions and trillions meant for the general publics yet they are applauded for doing a great job, after all when charged to court they can pay the fine of option out bail. That is why most of these people are never afraid to steal the public founds.

This is why those smiling are the people leading while those they are leading are the once suffering. What a country, what a leadership! Those meant to serve are the once been served. A king like Jesus Christ, served his followers, the masses. He put them in the front yet he still led them from the front and back. Our leadership is a wake up call.

Some persons in power don't even know what leadership is all about because they are hoodwinks and hooligans before they were waked up from sleeps by their godfathers to come and occupy a position as a so called leader, bizarre. What can you make out from such personalities. Agboro's chairman in a motor park as a local government chairman, hahahaha, what else can we expect. We need to learn what leadership is all about if we must be good rulers so as to move the country forward. May God see us through and bless us all.
