Somebody should please come and deliver the people of Gidan-waya

02 December 2014, 12:33

Gidan-waya, Gidan-waya is located in Southern Kaduna in Kaduna state. The issue of PHCN in Gidan-waya is getting out of hand and if care is not taking it may cause a very big battle between the workers and the people of the community.

For a very long time now, the people have been complaining of access bill, sometime last year or early this year the transformer had a problem and they left us in darkness for so many months. When the problem was rectified, they forced us to pay the bill of the light we didn't use.

Due to the incapable transformer they mounted, they began to ration the light on day to day interval. The worst part of it all is that upon that, they are not given us the light and before month end they would start sharing of bill, forcing us to pay for the light we didn't use.

Some months ago a good Samaritan donated another transformer, to enable PHCN give us light but to no avail. After mounting the transformer they refused to connect it, is more than two months now is affecting our businesses.

Something should be done please!!!
