The Nigerian prison service

19 December 2014, 20:29

Abuja - As we all know, the prison is a place of reformation. But it is a different story in this generation, looking into the story coming from some of the inmates in the kuje prison custody Abuja.

The prison as they say, is no more a place of reformation, but a training place for criminals of all kinds, some of the inmates said that the people in charge of kuje prison has turned the prison to be a place of business for himself and his staffs.

Some of the good staff also told us that they are not happy with the way things are going in the prison, because inmates who has money has taking over the prison from the D.c. in charge Mr. Musa, and some of his staffs including the Yard Master and his Assistant of kuje prison.

The Yard Master and his Assistant through the In charge of the prison are into bringing and selling of Hard Drugs, Indian Helms, Alcoholic Drinks and Hand Set's for the inmates in kuje prison custody. The prison which is now like a bonk of criminals is never a place to call reformation centre anymore.

Some of the inmate told our group that the incharge only give an order for a clean up whenever there is visitors coming in, and that any inmate who tell of the ugly happenings in prison to the visitors is to be dealt with after the departure of the visitors.

They pray that the government should do something about the newly D.C In charge and the Yard Master with his Assistant by name Musa.
