The best advice is our own advice

18 August 2014, 13:12 Jibunor George Chuks

Like most people could say; at times, it is better to keep your advice to yourself, simply because many people are looking for the opinion of others before they can make their own decisions. Someone said; I prefer to nod my head when someone brings a complaint to me. This is because, the moment you give your advice to the person, you equally becomes the number one person to be blamed especially when the plans are not working out.

Many researchers has found out that the best advice we could get is the advice we give to ourselves. Reasons for this; when you give advice to yourself, you stand a chance to blame no one, because you are the custodian of those plans that failed. They are equally some groups of people that shares comfort to pose and feel yes: 'we know it all' this same group of people are the types that likes giving opinions and advices to people, just because they feel, 'we know it all'.

But they never ceases any opportunity of showing superiority in every case that they see, in so doing, to prove that they know it all. Whether in the family, schools or working places, its better to allow people to make their own decisions, what we need is to guide them towards the decisions that they make, in so doing, they will know yes, its actually from them, its their thing, yes that they can make positive decisions in their life.

It is better to keep quiet and guide when someone brings an opinion or complain to you. Best to say or ask is 'what then do you resolve to do'? this is the best answer you could give, just to stay in the safer side when the alarm blows. Nobody knows it all, that's why we are imperfect beings. God bless us.
