The dirty game of prostitution

10 October 2013, 09:36 Onyeji Dominic Uzoechi

Prostitution is not meant to be practiced like profession. It is virtually evil and it has nothing to do with skill as most people think. Things like harlotry and human trafficking are known to everybody as very dirty games. They are not decorous and besides, people like gold diggers and streetwalkers are strictly abhorred in every society. One is not esteemed when one indulges in dirty games like prostitution. It is a very bad thing and everybody knows that God does not approve of it. All the same, let's try to be logical and sincere in thinking. Life requires us to be highly reasonable.

Man cannot be sensible if he blatantly deny the fact that game (be it clean or dirty) is ordained by nature. We do not need to go far before we can accept the fact that fate is always there as natural dictator with absolute power over man. What are we saying? It is certain that man will always try hard to wriggle out of ugly situations especially when he finds himself in any tight corner. Freedom is very essential and nobody wishes to suffer. So, man cannot really be blamed for trying to survive by any means. If he tries positive means and it does not work, next option is to try the negative. This is truth, and we must accept it if we choose to be honest to ourselves. It cannot be fully right if we keep thinking that dirty acts like prostitution do not require skill. We agree that it is a game and that great risk is also involved in it just like in every other forms of game. Every honest person should know that what it actually requires are carefulness and maturity. Dirty games will always be hazardous when we go into them as amateurs.

There are many things that generate problems in every adventure, and most dangerous of them all is lack of good sense of maturity. Everybody knows that life cannot do without risk. There is no business that does not involve risk. Man makes ends meat in order to survive and if he does not face the odds and oppositions (business risks), he cannot get profits or gains. It is certain to man that risk is inevitable. But how should we curb the problems in order to avoid loss of life and property? We should stop deceiving ourselves with shallow thinking. Let's be truthful and sensible enough to see that dirty games also require skills like in every profession.

Many problems in life are caused by lack of good sense of maturity. Truth remains that life and business require carefulness, and man cannot be careful if he lacks discretion (good sense to take lucrative decision both in life and business). There are many records concerning souls in this life who happened to go down for lack of good sense in dirty games like prostitution. Millions had been sent to their early graves just likes that. They played dirty games and died like rats just because of lack of good sense. One of them was Ola, a student of Lagos State University. She was a beautiful damsel at 200 levels, and Ebube was her room-mate on campus.

Ola joined on the salacious bandwagon without knowing her left from her right. Bad conditions forced her into harlotry and she became a streetwalker just like that – no orientation, no mentor, no previous experience; just a total novice in the game. Although Ebube tried her best to make her understand one or two things about adventurous life on campus, she said it many times to her that streetwalkers on campus ought to be wise, mentally sound, insightful and matured in dirty games. Ebube saw her as a strange wench and the ugly situation was quite appalling. It gave her serious concern and she did not refrain from speaking her mind most times. She usually gave Ola the piece of her mind, trying in many ways to show that it worried her to see her room-mate living loosely as cheap slut, always running after wealthy men like a sexual pushover. Candid advises and cautions were given to Ola and at a point, Ebube had no other option than to leave her to her fate when she saw that many of her hearty advices fell or landed on deaf ears. Ola went on with life on campus like amateur floozies. She mingled with debonair and thought she was enjoying until she fell prey to evil and ended her life as victim for occult rituals.
