Over the last few years, Nigeria has been experiencing one of its most unsettling moments with insecurity challenges across the country. Insurgent violence and the strategy by government to counter it have left citizens traumatized and ensure about their safety. The consequences of human rights abuses, prolonged inability to resolve the crisis and the impact of the crisis on both economic and political activities have serious implications to the economic and political stability of the country.

This state of insecurity is further compounded by a poor understanding of the dynamics of the violence and the failure of the state to address, resulting in a discordant discourse in the country that tends to polarize the country along ethnic, religious and regional lines. People are killed without regards to the sanctity of life. Concerned with this unsettling development, I decided to invite every persons, stakeholders, NGO's, African Union, United Nation etc to contribute in peace building efforts in our country, so as to promote peace, national unity and ensure the conditions for sustainable development in the country.
