Good people of Nigeria and Lagos State like ten minutes ago I saw something that shocked me to my bones. I witnessed an accident on Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island Lagos close to Park & Shop Super market were (a hit and run driver) a BMW (SUV) on high speed of about 160km/h hit a man off the road.
Other drivers behind this driver didn't go after him and didn't stop to help the poor man off the ground even. When I placed a call to the Lagos state emergence number they were asking about the nearest bus stop of Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island in Lagos. The most surprising thing that happened was that after people were trying to help the victim a police van ( the Seven (7) City Police Hilux van of Bar Beach Police Station) was passing and stopped and asked what was going on. We told them, and we then asked them for help. That is supposed to be their major duty: To protect and help the people of this country and Lagos State. The officers in the Hilux van asked if they were they ones that hit the man or killed him?
Nigerians please what kind of police force do we have in this country of ours that can not help its citizen? The police men drove off with out placing a call or radioing anybody. We want this country to move forward please. That is why Boko Haram can penetrate anywhere in Nigeria, because our security operatives (Nigeria Police Force) are not ready to listen to the people even when people are trying to help them with informations. Tell me what if the people in the SUV were going to bomb a place were their boss was or still is.
