World of drugs and alcohols

18 March 2014, 10:06 Jibunor George Chuks

It has turned into a new way of living and which at the rate is going only God in heaven can really tell of its stoppage. To many they term it “drug and alcohol; a problem solver, problem calmer, an inspiration”. Drug and alcohol has turned to comforter and solace.

A man re-trenched from work, feels that turning to drugs and alcohols could be the solution to his problem. When the urge for the consumption of drugs and alcohols can not be put to hold or stopped, then his next backup is to run to his wife's purse from the little earnings which she saves for the feeding of both him and the children. Invoking debt from all the alcoholic shops is a motto or a slogan. Which at times brings a name calling to the wife and the children, eg, wife or children of a drunk.

A boy from home sees no reason to forge ahead in life maybe because he had tried so many ways to make it in life but to no avail; stealing or exchanging parents things for drugs or alcohols is his only solution because he has find solace in drug and alcohol. Height at which its excavating to is a thing which is unpredictable. Most respected musicians, takes this and claims it helps them to control stage fright, so that they could perform for more than 2,3 to 5hours on stage. So, can we equally say that gospel artist also takes heed under the roof of drugs and alcohols before they perform, simply because their mate considers it; fright exonerate, no I disagree.

Mike Tyson, formal Boxing WHC (world heavyweight championship) is a practical example. And other athletics which was later striped off of their crowns because of drugs or alcohols. Now, this means that these people are no longer in control of their lives because they have turn addicted to drugs and alcohols. There was some cases that people can even go to the length of selling their clothes just for drugs and alcohols. Solace is never in alcohols or drugs. How can this be eradicated to people? A question and solutions we must find.

That you are sacked from work or you are with no job doesn't mean the world has ended for you to take solace in drugs or alcohols. Consequences of drugs or alcohols: many after engaging in this, on the confused but not free state that they are, enters road with their car and commits accident or they are the ones been knocked down by cars. Many beats their wife after taking drugs or alcohols which on a high note ends into a broken marriage. So many havocs that this dreadful substance and liquid has caused in the societies. Let's embrace the truth about drugs and alcohols so as to know that you can never get solace in alcohols and drugs. God bless us as we do the right thing.
