Let me air my view biko. I read someone say that these Biafran agitators were all not born before or during the civil war, hence, do not know what really happened....
And I'm like, 'Are you for real?'
Is there something that perhaps was not documented all these years? The IPOB are legally right to protest. Nigeria has been very unfair to the region and its people over the years.
This brings us to the (unlawful) detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Sincerely, I have envisioned what would have happened if someone as influencial as he (Kanu) from the north had been detained this long unlawfully, take the President for instance, during the last administration. It is said that the Civil war has helped to strengthen the peace of the nation...
If I hear! How can anyone say that when those of us in the North have to continuously look over our backs because we don't know when the 'butchers' will take to the road?
Okay, most people don't possibly know that during the few days it took between the general elections, compilations and announcement of the results, so many people had lost their lives for fear that GEJ would win the election and something similar, if not bloodier than that of 2011 might happen. Are they to blame?
No point recounting how the Igbos have been mercilessly slaughtered in the North over the years. Kai! Dem don sufa!!
Agitating for the State of Biafra? They are absolutely right. However, saying it's right does not make it the best option even though I think there is sparcely any other. The Buhari-led government and the APC are in the best position to salvage the situation. No right thinking leader will want his country divided.
Please act fast. My brothers, iwe unu adin'oku. I know you have come a long way with this fight, but please let us not make the same mistake our fathers made- they were blinded by bitterness, hate and course for self government. It is said that you do not allow that thing that killed your father to kill you. My case rests here.
